And the evening's host Richard E. Grant appeared to agree with fans by liking a tweet that described the snub as 'appalling' and said BAFTA should be 'disgusted in themsleves'.
The actor had been forced to choke back tears as she introduction the segment remembering t - following his wife Joan Washington's death in September 2021.
He later liked a tweet that read: 'Hi Darlings, have watched The BAFTA's on TV & I'm absolutely appalled that the fabulous Bernard Cribbins was not mentioned in stars that we've lost within the last year, they should be disgusted with themselves, words fail me'.

Another viewer wrote: 'Bernard Cribbins, I loved him.
My kids loved him, everyone loved him. Criminal he was left out of the BAFTAs'.
And a third said: '@BAFTA shame you didn't mention the late great Bernard Cribbins in the round up of film talent we lost in the last year. Perhaps you are him for a mention in the TV Awards but he was more than a TV actor. Plenty of films under his belt'.

And another added: 'How the hell did BAFTA NOT mention Bernard Cribbins in the 'people we lost in the last 12 months' montage?
His work touched every generation of viewers alive today from Carry On movies to Fawlty Towers to The Wombles to Doctor Who to Old Jack's Boat on CBeebies. Disgraceful'.
More agreed stating: 'There can't be many more much loved and much missed actors than Bernard Cribbins but BAFTA didn't have time to honour his passing. Less Alison Hammond/more Bernard Cribbins!'.
Taking to Twitter themsleves BAFTA released a statement reading: frog tutoring 'With limited time in our broadcast it isn't possible to honour all those who have sadly passed away.
Bernard features in our online record and given his influential work in TV, he will be considered for varsity inclusion in the next Television Awards broadcast'.
However fans found the reason a difficult one to accept: 'Let me add my voice to the number of people angry with @bafta for not including Bernard Cribbins in their list of actors who have passed away recently. To say that he might be considered for a mention at the TV awards is very insulting'.
With a second adding: 'You literally interviewed Geri Halliwell ...
Don't tell me there wasn't enough time for Bernard Cribbins'.
